Takže, túto knihu som sem dala 1. preto, že ma zaujala rovnako ako miliony ľudí po celom svete. Prostý príbeh o dievčati menom
Bella Swan, ktorá odchádza od matky a príde bývať k jej
otcovi Charliemu do Forks.
V snahe získať si nových kamarátov sa nejako zapletie s rodinou Cullenových, hlavne s Edwardom Cullenom.
Neskôr sa dozvie, že Edwarrd, podľa legendy patrí k upírom ( čo ejj prezradí Jacob Black z rezervácia). Bella to berie ako šok, ale keď dá najavo Edwardovi, že o tom vie, Edward sa ju snaží odhovoriť od toho,aby spolu naďalje chodili, no Bella zas trvá na tom, že sa ho nebojí a bude s ním navždy.
Tak ich vzťah pokračuje ďalej.. Edward dovedie Bellu k nim domov, do luxusného horského domčeka ( mimochodom, ktorý vraj vlastní naozaj nejaký obyvateľ forks ), tam sa spriatelí z jeho rodinou, no Rosalie ju nemá vôbec v láske.
Jedného dňa ju zavolajú hrať baseball, lenže sa tam stretne s ďalšímí troma upírmi - James, Laurent a Victoria. James neskôr zistí, že v prítomnosti je človek a chce jej "vycicať krv" ... :D
Celú zvyšnú časť knihy ju nakoniec prenasleduje, až ju chytí v baletnom študiu vo Phoenixe, zahryzne jej do ruky, príde tam Edward, zachráni ju tým že jej vysaje krv z rany, pod dohľadom Carlisla ( jeho otca ), zabije Jamesa, potom pozve Bellu na ples a Bella sa rozhodne, že tiež chce byť upír.
Neskôr však, túto knihu začali napodobovať ďalšie knihy... Upírske denníky, Škola noci ... a tak sa vlastne roztrhlo vrece s UPÍRMI !! :D
